Wellington Free Ambulance |
| In New Zealand, trauma patients usually have their ambulance transportation costs covered by the Accident Compensation Corporation and medical patients will find themselves paying for their transportation. However, in the greater Wellington area the Wellington Free Ambulance provides all services at no charge to the patient. It is the only free ambulance service in the southern hemisphere.
