This three aspect driver using a digital I.C. A low voltage on the input will turn on the LED, turning off the Green aspect. The red drive is also fed to the previous signal for interlocking. A blocking diode should be shown in this output to prevent a Yellow low on the previous from interfering with the red on this. The resistors supplying the LEDS can be individually selected to provide a more uniform colour level.
