Relays used to drive the Home and Departure signals at a loop.

This is the interconnection of two blocks at a loop. The first signal is the Home and signals whether the point is set for the main or loop. If the block on main is occupied the signal only shows red if the points are on main. The departure signal shows the block ahead and the points position, reversed signals red. The Home signal is interlocked to the next block. Interlock control needs 3 wires in a relay system as there is no automatic red over-ride to yellow and green. The LEDS are supplied with 12 volts through the resistors and driven to ground thru relays and point switches to light them.<
