An Inter-station Shuttle.

This Station Shuttle for DC controllers senses the loss of power at the end of the station run. A diode connected across a break in the track will stop the train as it enters the section but allow it to reverse back out. This is normal practice to protect tracks at the end of yards etc.
The program senses the loss of current thru a bridge rectifier and opto isolator detector, several debounce steps are included to overcome possible dirty track conditions. A delay is started at the station and when it times out the departure signal is set to Green and the track power reversed. The signals are series wired a Red with a Green so the remote station shows Red when a train is coming. The delay time can be selected on the toggle (center off) switch. The program has been expanded to control a train up and down a zig-zag hillside track using additional relays for points drive and dropping the signals.
