Here's some of my own writing. Hope you enjoy it.
This short story won an an Honourable Mention in the "It was a dark & stormy knight" competition at ConD'or, the 2000 New Zealand National Science Fiction Convention.
It's a bit of a throwaway, basically just retelling an old joke, but it is my first "published" fantasy work, as it was printed in the ConD'or convention booklet.
Here's the beginnings of what might some day become a novel.
It's called "Construction" because I first tried writing it as an entry for the short story competition at the 1998 New Zealand National Science Fiction convention in Wellington, which had been dubbed Construction by the organizers. After several thousand words, I realized that I was not going to be able to fit into the required word-limit and gave up. The reason for the name may become more obvious if I ever finish it.
Until then, enjoy this preview
