		was appointed as Coroner. (10)

1865-66		Was resident at Alexandra; Edward was entitled 
		to vote twice for the Raglan Electorate. Firstly 
		as a householder with a dwelling at Alexandra and 
		secondly as a freeholder with 400 acres at Te 
		Awamutu. (8)

1866 ... ..	"Dr Edward WADDINGTON, who was for many years 
		the Government military surgeon in the Waikato, 
		in a report on the district gave the following
		statement of the strength of the principal
		military settlements (number exclusive of
		officers): - Alexandra (now Pirongia): 2nd
		Waikato Regiment - 675 men, 102 women, 183
		children. Cambridge: 3rd Waikato Regiment - 843
		men, 87 women, 198 children. Hamilton: 4th
		Waikato Regiment - 432 men, 282 women, 751

1866 Feb 10	Edward, of Alexandra in the Province of Auckland
		was appointed Justice of the Peace.

1866 Jul 01	Was struck off pay as Surgeon of the Auckland 
		Militia. He was earning 24s per diem. (5)

1868-1870	Edward owned Town Lots 3-4 (2 acres) and was
		assessed at 1s per acre and was listed on the 
		Mangapiko Highway Assessment Roll (7)

1868 Apr 11	Was registered as a Medical Practitioner. (2)
