 A potter by trade, left London 13yrs ago. Eight years ago
 he was heard of at Milton, Otago, NZ. His poor aged mother,
 nearly threescore and ten years of age, will be grateful to

 Send add home at once. Bertie ill, or anyone knowing him comm with 
 Mrs EWING, Windsor, NSW as it is possible he is using his two first 
 names. Following is his description. 5ft 9in in height, blk hair 
 always parted in the centre, dk br eyes, very sallow complexion, br 
 full beard, walks slightly knocked-kneed, currier by trade but able 
 to take any work in a tan-yard. 30yrs of age and likely to frequent 
 billiardrooms after working hours.

 Left the Pipemakers Arms Limehouse, for a sea voyage. A letter was 
 received from him about 1856 when he was settled in Oakland NZ. His
