The Era 5 Dec 1841 Central Criminal Court
Wm. Waller, 23, Ann Griffin, 20, and Ann Davis, 22, were indicted for
stealing nine sovereigns, a half-sovereign, and other moneys, the property
of James William Kenning, from his person. The jury acquitted Davis, but
found the other prisoners Guilty. It was then proved that Griffin had been
previously convicted. The Court sentenced both prisoners to be transported
beyond the seas for the term of ten years.
