"Sir, I the undersigned will undertake to complete the works 
intended for a jail at Port Nicholson for the Sum of 70 pounds
each. James PETHERICK, Britannia 
PS Annexed is a plan of the works. No. 1...."

Tender for the station house at Thorndon
"We the undersigned do agree to compleat [sic] at following... 
but the cartage 
Iron work at 10 pence or 14 pounds Sawed timber	7 pounds 4s
Splitting slabs, post squaring... & putting up the house 31 
pounds. Total amount 52 pounds 4s
