The Derby Mercury 5 Dec 1832 A contest is likely to take place for the northern division of the county of Northampton, Thomas Tryon, Esq., of Bulwick Hall, having offered himself in conjunction with Lord Brudenel, and in opposition to Lord Milton - For the borough of Northampton, Mr George Bainbridge, of London, offers his services as the colleague of the present member, Mr Vernon Smith, in the room of Sir George Robinson who retires on account of the declining state of his health. They are opposed by Mr Charles Ross, the present member for St. Germain's, who succeeds to the conservative support which used to be given to his relative, Sir R. Gunning.
