Capitation Roll for the 1881 Hauraki Engineer Volunteers

31 Dec 1880 (Government Inspection and Company Parades) and

1881 Mar 14	Letter written by Capt. J. Stormont SMALL to 
		Major WITHERS Commanding Auckland and Thames 
		Districts. Re: Carbine Number 250.
		"That the Carbine in question is in possession
		of a Maori Member of the Corps named Nekeuhunia
		who rarely attends parades in consequence of his
		residing at a considerable distance - viz his
		father, a chief, located between the sandspit
		and the Miranda."

1881 Mar 29	Return of Charges against the Hauraki Engineers
		for the undermentioned carbine (250) and
		accoutrements not seen by Major WITHERS at
		annual inspection. Signed by James BLOMFIELD.
		
1881 Apr 08	The roll was received by the officer commanding
		at Thames.
