you have ever done for yourself!
God sent Jesus to be the way back to
Himself by having Him die on the Cross at Calvary.
(Matt 20:17-19, 28)
But on the third day, Jesus was raised to life again -
(Matt 28:1-10, 16-20)
so that all who believe in Him will also be raised to life again.
(John 11:25, 26)
Jesus says this,
"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life;
the only way to the Father is through Me." John 14:6
And this is our invitation from Jesus;
"Come to Me, all of you
who are tired
and have heavy loads,
and I will give you rest.
Accept My teachings
and learn from Me,
because I am gentle and humble in spirit,
and you will find rest
for your lives.
The teaching that I ask you to accept is easy;
the load I give you to carry is light."
Matt 11:28-30
THE WORD
John Chapter 1, verses 1-4
1 In the beginning there was
the Word.
The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 All things were made by Him, and nothing
was made without Him.
4 In Him there was life, and that life was
the light of all people.

Life Only In Jesus
Matt 11:28-30
28"Come to me,
all of you who are tired and have heavy loads,
and I will give you rest.
29Accept my teachings and learn from me,
because I am gentle and humble in spirit,
and you will find rest for your lives.
30The teaching that I ask you to accept is easy;
the load I give you to carry is light."
John
14:6
16Jesus answered, “I
am the way, and the truth, and the life.
The only way to the Father is through me.
John 17:3
3And this is eternal life:
that people know you, the only true God,
and that they know Jesus Christ, the One you
sent.
John 11:25, 26
25Jesus said, “I am
the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me
will have life even if they die.
26And everyone who lives and believes in me
will never die.
John 20:31
31But these are written so
that you may believe
that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.
Then, by believing, you may have life through his
name.
Jesus is Lord
Romans 10:8-10
8
This is what the Scripture says:
"The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart."
That is the teaching of faith that we are telling.
9If you use your mouth to say, "Jesus is Lord,"
and if you believe in your heart that God raised
Jesus from the dead, you will be saved.
10We believe with our hearts,
and so we are made right with God.
And we use our mouths to say that we believe,
and so we are saved.
A New Relationship With God
Romans 5:6-11
6When we were utterly helpless,
Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.
7Now, no one is likely to die for a good person,
though someone might be willing to die
for a person who is especially good.
8But God showed his great love for us by
sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
9And since we have been made right in God's sight
by the blood of Christ,
he will certainly save us from God's judgment.
10For since we were restored to friendship with God
by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies,
we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment
by his life.
11So now we can rejoice in our wonderful
new relationship with God -
all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us
in making us friends of God. NLT
Life Forever in Christ Jesus
Romans 6:20-23
20In the past you were
slaves to sin, and goodness did not control you.
21You did evil things, and now you are
ashamed of them.
Those things only bring death. 22But now you
are free from sin and have become slaves of God.
This brings you a life that is only for God, and this
gives you life forever.
23When people sin, they earn what sin
pays—death.
But God gives us a free gift—life forever in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
The Spirit of Christ
Romans 8:9-11
9You are ruled by the
Spirit, if that Spirit of God really lives in
you.
But the person who does not have the Spirit of Christ
does not belong to Christ.
10Your body will always be dead because of
sin.
But if Christ is in you, then the Spirit gives you
life,
because Christ made you right with God.
11God raised Jesus from the dead, and if
God’s Spirit is living in you,
he will also give life to your bodies that die.
God is the One who raised Christ from the dead,
and he will give life through his Spirit that lives in
you.
Rom 6:4
4When we were baptized, we
were buried with Christ and shared his death.
So, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the
wonderful power of the Father, we also can live a new
life.
Rom 7:6
6In the past, the law held
us like prisoners, but our old selves died, and we were
made free from the law.
So now we serve God in a new way with the Spirit, and
not in the old way with written rules.
Rom 12:2
2Do not change yourselves
to be like the people of this world, but be changed
within by a new way of thinking.
Then you will be able to decide what God wants for
you;
you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what
is perfect.
2Cor 4:16
16So we do not give
up.
Our physical body is becoming older and weaker, but our
spirit inside us is made new every day.
2Cor 5:4, 5
4While we live in this
body, we have burdens, and we groan. We do not want to
be naked, but we want to be clothed with our heavenly
home.
Then this body that dies will be fully covered with
life.
5This is what God made us for, and he has
given us the Spirit to be a guarantee for this new
life.
2Cor 5:17
17If anyone belongs to
Christ, there is a new creation.
The old things have gone; everything is made
new!
2Gal 5:24, 25
24Those who belong to
Christ Jesus have crucified their own sinful
selves.
They have given up their old selfish feelings and the
evil things they wanted to do.
25 We get our new life from the Spirit, so we should
follow the Spirit.
Eph 2:4, 5
4But God’s mercy is
great, and he loved us very much.
5Though we were spiritually dead because of
the things we did against God, he gave us new life with
Christ.
Eph 4:22-24
22You were taught to leave
your old self — to stop living the evil way you
lived before.
That old self becomes worse, because people are fooled
by the evil things they want to do.
23But you were taught to be made new in your
hearts, 24to become a new person.
That new person is made to be like God—made to be
truly good and holy.
Your New Life in Christ
Col 3:3, 4
3Your old sinful self has
died, and your new life is kept with Christ in
God.
3Christ is our life, and when he comes
again, you will share in his glory.
Col 3:9-11
9You have left your old
sinful life and the things you did before.
10You have begun to live the new life, in
which you are being made new and are becoming like the
One who made you.
This new life brings you the true knowledge of
God.
11In the new life there is no difference
between Greeks and Jews, those who are circumcised and
those who are not circumcised, or people who are
foreigners, or Scythians.
There is no difference between slaves and free
people.
But Christ is in all believers, and Christ is all that
is important.
Titus 3:4-7
4But when the kindness and
love of God our Savior was shown, 5 he saved us because
of his mercy.
It was not because of good deeds we did to be right
with him.
He saved us through the washing that made us new people
through the Holy Spirit.
6God poured out richly upon us that Holy
Spirit through Jesus Christ our Savior.
7Being made right with God by his grace, we
could have the hope of receiving the life that never
ends.
Heb 10:19, 20
19So, brothers and sisters,
we are completely free to enter the Most Holy Place
without fear because of the blood of Jesus’
death.
20We can enter through a new and living way
that Jesus opened for us.
1John 3:9
9Those who are God’s
children do not continue sinning, because the new life
from God remains in them.
They are not able to go on sinning, because they have
become children of God.
Matt 19:28-30
28 Jesus said to them,
"I tell you the truth, when the age to come has
arrived, the Son of Man will sit on His great throne.
All of you who followed Me will also sit on twelve
thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 And all those who have left houses,
brothers, sisters, father, mother, children, or farms
to follow Me will get much more than they left, and
they will have life forever.
30 Many who have the highest place now will
have the lowest place in the future. And many who have
the lowest place now will have the highest place in the
future.
Titus 3:4-7
4 But when the kindness and
love of God our Saviour was shown, 5 He
saved us because of His mercy.
It was not because of good deeds we did to be right

Entering God's Kingdom
Matthew 7:21-23
21Not everyone who calls Me
their Lord
will get into the kingdom of heaven.
Only the ones who obey My Father in heaven will get
in.
22On the day of judgment many will call Me
their Lord.
They will say, "We preached in Your name, and in
Your name we forced out demons and worked many
miracles."
23But I will tell them,
"I will have nothing to do with you!
Get out of My sight, you evil
people!"
Jesus, the Bread of Life
John 6:25-35
25When the people found
Jesus on the other side of the lake, they asked him,
“Teacher, when did you come here?”
26Jesus answered, “I tell you the
truth, you aren’t looking for me because you saw
me do miracles.
You are looking for me because you ate the bread and
were satisfied.
27Don’t work for the food that spoils.
Work for the food that stays good always and gives
eternal life.
The Son of Man will give you this food, because on him
God the Father has put his power.”
28The people asked Jesus, “What are
the things God wants us to do?”
29Jesus answered, “The work God wants
you to do is this:
Believe the One he sent.”
30 So the people asked, “What miracle
will you do? If we see a miracle, we will believe you.
What will you do?
31Our fathers ate the manna in the desert.
This is written in the Scriptures: ‘He gave them
bread from heaven to eat.’ ”
32 Jesus said, “I tell you the truth,
it was not Moses who gave you bread from heaven; it is
my Father who is giving you the true bread from
heaven.
33 God’s bread is the One who comes
down from heaven and gives life to the
world.”
34The people said, “Sir, give us this
bread always.”
35 Then Jesus said, “I am the bread
that gives life.
Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever
believes in me will never be thirsty.
36But as I told you before, you have seen me
and still don’t believe.
37 The Father gives me my people. Every one
of them will come to me, and I will always accept
them.
38 I came down from heaven to do what God
wants me to do, not what I want to do.
39 Here is what the One who sent me wants me
to do: I must not lose even one whom God gave me,
but I must raise them all on the last day.
40Those who see the Son and believe in him
have eternal life,
and I will raise them on the last day.
This is what my Father wants.”
A Rich Young Man’s Question
Matt 19:16-28
16A man came to Jesus and
asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to
have life forever?”
17Jesus answered, “Why do you ask me
about what is good? Only God is good.
But if you want to have life forever, obey the
commands.”
18The man asked, “Which
commands?” Jesus answered, “ ‘You
must not murder anyone; you must not be guilty of
adultery;
you must not steal; you must not tell lies about your
neighbor;
19honor your father and mother; and love
your neighbor as you love yourself.’
”
20 The young man said, “I have obeyed
all these things. What else do I need to
do?”
21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be
perfect, then go and sell your possessions and give the
money to the poor.
If you do this, you will have treasure in heaven. Then
come and follow me.”
22 But when the young man heard this, he
left sorrowfully, because he was rich.
23Then Jesus said to his followers, “I
tell you the truth, it will be hard for a rich person
to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24Yes, I tell you that it is easier for a
camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich
person to enter the kingdom of God.”
25When Jesus’ followers heard this,
they were very surprised and asked, “Then who can
be saved?”
26Jesus looked at them and said, “This
is something people cannot do, but God can do all
things.”
27Peter said to Jesus, “Look, we have
left everything and followed you. So what will we
have?”
28Jesus said to them, “I tell you the
truth, when the age to come has arrived, the Son of Man
will sit on his great throne.
All of you who followed me will also sit on twelve
thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29And all those who have left houses,
brothers, sisters, father, mother, children, or farms
to follow me will get much more than they left, and
they will have life forever.
30Many who have the highest place now will
have the lowest place in the future. And many who have
the lowest place now will have the highest place in the
future.
