Climbing Mountains with Bolke and Tama
Y'know, life isn't always about jumping on your bike and going
for a thrash through some styling singletrack. Sometimes you have to get off
your bike and climb to the top of some big arse mountain.
Mount Taranaki - North Island, New Zealand
2518 metres / 8264 feet

Nothing better than getting away from it all.

Tama has a rest while stumbling up the East face.

The view straight down from the top of the Shark's Tooth. Yay for Vertigo!

Bolke looks up to "The Chimney" (top of the cliff)- yep we had
to climb down this sucker.

Tama considers bashing some English trampers and taking their Leki sticks.

Bolke shakes his arse while prancing down the scree slope on the South
face.

Mount Ruapehu - North Island, New Zealand
2797 metres / 9180 feet

Tama enjoys a civilized break on the summit of Mt. Ruapehu

Bolke admires a pretty kick arse cloud scape from Mt. Ruapehu

Bolke ties his laces while Ruapehu's south ridge scythes the cloud in
twain

Fantastic day for it, aye? This photo is looking east.

Long way down for a dodgy ice crossing.

Mt Ruapehu's Crater Lake - Doesn't look like an active volcano from here.
