Medals

Medal Assessments description
Supreme Dance is associated with the New Zealand Federation of Dance Teachers (NZFDT), who provide an independant examiner. Teachers only put forward students who will do well in the selected medal and students receive the following:

written feedback on each of the dances
a medal (see the list below)
a certificate

Each Medal Assessment has a social dance associated with it (normally a week after the Medal Test). All students, friends and family are welcome to attend. There is also the opportunity for students to take gold medals publicly in front of an audience. For these, the students are encouraged to wear special evening dance clothes.

Notes
Ballroom and Latin Gold Cross medals and above require entrances and exits.
New Vogue and Old Time Gold medals and above require entrances and exits.
