Live Bible pageants

For several years now, the St John's parishioners have presented to the public live-action Bible pageants at Christmas and Easter. Each illustrates the story leading up to these important events in the church calendar.

The Christmas pageant is usually held just prior to the Christmas services, and illustrates the Nativity story as found in the Gospels.

The Easter story usually takes place on Good Friday, at about midday, and is followed by a meal of Hot Cross Buns in the Community Centre. This, in turn, is followed by a Meditation service in the church.
