Following William’s death in a drowning accident Margaret married my 5x Great Grandfather Cuthbert Robson (see details below). (Added 11 Jan 09)

We have not yet been able to make the connection but believe that Hannah Yielder and Luke Bell were the parents of our ancestor Jacob Bell born in Halton about 1767. The page is added in the hope that someone may be able to help us prove the theory! J There is also another connection ~ please see the paragraph below. (Added 1 Jan 09)

·              Our Rutter family tree from Stamfordham has been updated with a new page being added for Mary Rutter, daughter of Joseph Rutter and Mary Brown, who married (1) William Stokoe and (2) Bartholomew Dobison (youngest son of Joseph Dobison and Eleanor Yielder). (Added 1 Jan 09)

Additional information has also been added to the page on the descendants of Agnes Kilgour and Alexander Barrie.

Hello everyone! This is still one of my favourite words of encouragement at the beginning of a new year!

God Knows

“And I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year, ‘Give me a light that I may

tread safely into the unknown’.  And he replied: “Go out into the darkness and

put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light

and safer than a known way.”

Minnie Louise Haskins

May the LORD bless you richly in 2009 with His grace! His love never fails!

With love,

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal

life  in Christ Jesus our LORD.

Romans 6:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely

by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Romans 3:23

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,
that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
