eorgina Mould was born at Bell Street, North Shields on 30 July 1855 and christened at Christ Church, Tynemouth on 19 August 1855, the daughter of Nicholas Mould and Rachel Rutherford.

Georgina and her two surviving brothers appear to have been raised by their maternal grandparents James and Dorothy Rutherford following the death of their parents in 1863. Georgina and her younger brother Nicholas James are living with James and Dorothy on the 1871 Census at the Custom House Tavern on Union Quay, North Shields, where James was the innkeeper.

Georgina married John Kilgour on 13 May 1872 at St Peter’s, Wallsend, Northumberland:

Georgina Mould, 18, Spinster, 37 Siddon Street, North Shields, Nicholas Mould, Joiner

Georgina and John, a grocer, were the parents of:

·         Rachel Ann Kilgour born 22 April 1875 in North Shields;

·         Edith Kilgour born in Queen Street, North Shields and christened 11 July 1877 at St Peter’s, Tynemouth; and

·         Dorothy Rutherford Kilgour born 27 November 1879 in North Shields.

John Kilgour was reported as a widower on both the 1891 and 1901 Censuses. However, it has been discovered that Georgina was still alive and in another relationship with John Young of Pelton, Durham, with whom she had two sons:

·         John Robert Young born about 1887 in South Shields; and

·         Nicholas Young born 28 October 1890 in South Shields.
