Richard Gair died in Walbottle and was buried at St Michael’s, Newburn on 29 January 1819 aged 72 years. (For some reason ages at death were recorded at Newburn as being 2 years older than people actually were if they were born prior to 1752. After checking several deaths/burials for people whose births/christenings were known, prior to 1752, this appears to have been a consistent error.) Richard would actually have been 70.

Jane Gair nee Coulson died at Walbottle and was buried at Newburn on 27 November 1819 aged 74 years (actually 72 – see notes above for husband Richard).
