ichard Daglish
was born about 1781 (birthplace unknown but believed
to be in Co. Durham, England) and married
Elizabeth Wood of South Shields, on 12 February 1810 at
St Hilda’s, South Shields, Co. Durham, England. Richard, a keelman, and Elizabeth were
the parents of: ·
Elizabeth Daglish
christened 6 January 1813 at St Hilda’s, South Shields about whom nothing
more is known; ·
Rosanna Daglish
christened 6 January 1813 at St Hilda’s, South Shields married George
Oliver on 17 March 1832 at Christ Church, Tynemouth (more
details below); ·
John Daglish born
about 1816 and christened 23 June 1827 at St Hilda’s, South Shields married Christiana
Thompson on 10 March 1834 at St Hilda’s, South Shields (please
click on John’s name for more details); and ·
Richard Daglish
christened 26 December 1824 at St Hilda’s, South Shields married Ann
Surtees on 19 December 1847 at St Hilda’s, South Shields (please
click on Richard’s name for more details). Richard and Elizabeth
were living at Bottle Hill, Westoe on the 1841-1861 censuses.

osanna Daglish was born in South Shields, Co. Durham, England and christened
6 January 1813 at St Hilda’s, South Shields, the second child of Richard
Daglish and Elizabeth Wood. Rosanna married George Oliver on 17
March 1832 at Christchurch, Tynemouth, Northumberland. Rosanna
and George Oliver are Lynne’s 3x Great Grandparents. Rosanna
Oliver nee Daglish died
in Westoe in 1887, aged 76 years. For
