Elizabeth Coulson & Thomas Smith

Elizabeth Coulson was born in Gunnerton, Northumberland, England and christened 25 April 1723 at St Giles, Chollerton, the second child of Edward Coulson and Jane Lawson.

Elizabeth married Thomas Smith (christened 26 April 1723 at St Giles, Chollerton, the son of George Smith and Isabel ?) on 2 October 1744 at St Giles, Chollerton.

Elizabeth and Thomas, a farmer, were the parents of:

· Jane Smith christened 20 January 1745 at St Giles, Chollerton;

· Isabel Smith christened 26 October 1746 at St Giles, Chollerton married William Graham on 25 December 1771 at St Giles, Chollerton.

Isabel and William, a weaver, were the parents of:

· Thomas Graham christened 7 August 1774 at St Giles, Chollerton;

· John Graham christened 20 October 1776 at St Giles, Chollerton;

· Edward Graham christened 25 December 1778 at St Giles, Chollerton;

· Elizabeth Graham christened 1 July 1781 at St Giles, Chollerton;

· Isabel Graham was born in Gunnerton and christened 23 May 1784 at St Giles, Chollerton;

· Ambrose Graham christened 20 August 1786 at St Giles, Chollerton; and

· William Graham christened 26 July 1789 at St Giles, Chollerton.

Isabel Graham nee Smith died on 25 July 1799 at Barrasford and was buried on 28 July 1799 at St Giles, Chollerton, aged 53 years.

· Elizabeth Smith christened 9 April 1749 at St Giles, Chollerton died at Gunnerton Hill Head and was buried on 28 August 1795 at St Giles, Chollerton;

· Edward Smith christened 18 August 1751 at St Giles, Chollerton;

· Mary Smith christened 1 May 1754 at St Giles, Chollerton;

· Margaret Smith christened 26 December 1756 at St Giles, Chollerton was buried on 27 November 1765 at St Giles, Chollerton; and

· Ann Smith christened 30 March 1760 at St Giles, Chollerton.

Elizabeth Smith nee Coulson died at Gunnerton Hill Head on 4 April 1800 and was buried at St Giles, Chollerton on 6 April 1800, aged 77 years.

Thomas Smith died at Gunnerton Hill Head on 7 May 1800 and was buried on 9 May 1800 at St Giles, Chollerton, aged 77 years.
