SouthPacificArchitecture is
a Architectural and Construction business that offers a service of 'design
and build' specifically in the realm of residential buildings, that is
homes, townhouses, beach houses, and apartment interiors.
Both new and renovating work is
undertaken in almost all aspects of construction and design, though
all types of work are implemented, an endeavour to assert a fresh,
innovative New Zealand design ethic is most desirable, projects of
this nature are pursued with zest and are the essence of my inspiration
and dreams.
About myself- I have well over
ten years experience in the building trade, having attained the qualifications
of 'Trade Certificate in Carpentry of New Zealand' and 'Advanced Trade
Certificate in Carpentry of New Zealand' both before I had completed
my apprenticeship. My apprenticeship consisted of four years or 9000 hours
of a wide and varied scope of work from twelve months learning many aspects
of joinery working in a dynamic joinery shop to the complete and ever varied
aspects of carpentry and building that ranged from residential to light
commercial work.
I have just recently, over the
past four years been studying at Victoria University to attain a Bachelor
of Arts, majoring in Architectural Studies. Courses such as
Anthropology, Art History, New Zealand Design, Architectural
Design, History of Architecture, Architectural Theory and Criticism,
Psychology, Construction, Building Quantities and Estimating,
Building Economics, Philosophy, Cultural History and Social Paradigms
in Design, Intro to Computers and Applications, Intro to Computer
Programme Design, Intro to Communications, Modernism and Postmodernism
and Life Drawing.
