PARAKAI SHORTEST DAY FLYIN & BBQ.
20th June 2009
A wonderful turnout on a cold and very windy day.
Some of the lighter variety.
Grant Corlett's Challenger II (I flew it over on Grant's behalf).
Some of the wiser visitors, inside out of the cold wind.
Seated are Julie from Paeroa chatting with Cliff from Waihi while the BBQ is cooking outside.
Kevin Paulson and Pam Coles, with another visitor joining in.
Quick turn into wind.
Then climb away!
Oskar gets his Mosquito helicopter out.
Beautifully restored Cessna 152.
Andrew Guyon makes a nice landing in spite of the strong crosswind.
Tony Lloyd takes off and climbs out with plenty of compensation for drift showing.
Now it's Andrew's turn.
All nicely crossed up.
Then heads back to Mercer via Browns Bay and the east coast.
