WELCOME to Serengouti Bengals & Abyssinians. We are perched on the lower slopes of the Port Hills, above the beautiful city of Christchurch, New Zealand.
We are a New Zealand Cat Fancy (NZCF) REGISTERED CATTERY.

SERENGOUTI is a small in-home cattery breeding Bengals and Abyssinians (though we will still be breeding Ocicats for a short while longer). Our main goal is to breed kittens who are in optimum health, of exceptional type and which have great temperament.
If you are wondering where the name SERENGOUTI comes from, thats simple. It is a combination of "Serengeti" - the plains of Africa where the wonderful wild cats roam, and "Agouti" - an important feline gene which affects the appearance of a cats' coat (either by its presence or absence).

This site is undergoing ongoing development as I continue to develop my webdesign skills. Please feel free to browse it at your leisure. And do come back and visit again soon - there will be more pages and features being added as time progresses.
Depending on the time of year, we may have kittens available to pet or show homes, and possibly to approved breeding programs. Please check the Kitten Availability page to see who your new owner might be. All pet kittens leave us desexed, vaccinated, worm and flea free and have been raised and socialised indoors.
If you have any questions, would like to know more about these cats, or are interested in purchasing kittens, please use the Contact Details link to the left, or feel free to EMAIL ME

STOP PRESS - BREAKING NEWS - JUNE 08. I am thrilled and proud to announce the arrival of Prowlers Midas Touch (aka Chardonnay). This absolutely beautiful marbled girl is destined to be a really fantastic attribute to the commencement of my Bengal breeding program. Sadly I will be phasing out of Ocicats when Chardonnay is older, but am very much looking forward to developing a sound Bengal program.
