Antivirus. New Version released.
If you have AVG. installed on your computer, you may or may not have
gotten a message that there is a new Free Version now available. To
download it, click on one of the links below. If you have trouble
getting it to download try again at a different time of day. The
server may be busy. Be aware thought that it is large download
of about 45 Mbs. There are copies available at SeniorNet that you can
borrow to save downloading it or you can just have it put on your flash
drive. AVG. Downloads Once you have downloaded the file, simply double
click it and it will install it's self and remove any older versions if
you have any. It will also pick up your registration number and take
you step by step through the setup. You will be required to get a
few updates to get the database up to date. You may also be required to
Reboot your computer at some stage during the updates. This version is a lot different to the old one so take your time to get familiar with it. If you have trouble sending your emails, make sure that you don't have a tick in Hang up when finished. Having that ticked may not give AVG. time to do the scanning of your outward emails. If you find that your computer is running slower after you install AVG there are other free antivirus programs available. Avast Home being one of them.
