In the USA, regular classes are held by Swordplay Stage Combat, Swordplay Fencing Studios, They Fight!, & the SAFD. Also Asylum Stunts in Chicago, Roberta Brown in Beverly Hills, and The Academy of Combative Arts and Phi-Long Nguyen in Florida. General info: Ever seeking new inspiration Rc-Annie has been approached by one of our regulars with a novel but very exciting idea. Basically the class will combine Stage Combat with the skills of a Pole Dancer. An exploration of unique acrobatic fighting skills while climbing, hanging or propelling oneself from an upright pole.
Time: 7.30pm Monday November the 13th

General info: Sometimes called the most beautful and deadly of the personal weapons used in western culture, smallsword can be seen on stage in restoration plays such as Les Liasons Dangereuses. In this class, we will learn the fundamental stage combat principles of partnering, safety, and physical commitment within the context of precise, specific bladework. At the conclusion of the class, proficiency
testing with The Society of American Fight Directors will be offered to those who qualify (no additonal fee).
Time: Saturdays noon-3:00 pm.
