A Catechism of Bible basics, for the building of a solid Christian life, and a strong church.

Never has there been a time so challenging than the time in
which we live. All around we see such change. On the one hand,
technological advances offer such hope for health, prosperity and
freedom, while at the same time social disintegration seems to be
advancing like a tidal wave. Marriage and the family, once the
foundation of our nation's life, has now been eroded until
normality can no longer be defined by majority example.
The church too, once feared and respected by the nation’s
leadership and media, is speaking with such a divided voice that
it is no longer feared or even opposed, but worse - is simply
ignored. We live in a time which has been defined variously as
“Post Christian”, “Neo Pagan”, and certianly
A-moral. In this time of uncertainty and despair but also of
great opportunity,
there is a need as never before for a people to rise with a
burning vision of the unchanging purposes of God. This series of
studies seeks to establish just that. Life Foundations has been
written in the form of a Catechism. That is, a teaching of
foundational biblical truth by question and answer. It was not
however, written as a static work, but was born inspirationally
as it was originally taught week by week in a growing local
church.
Life Foundations is a complete unit. That is, it needs to be
taken as a whole. Each lesson builds on the previous one,
establishing precept upon precept, a thread of understanding and
building a vision of a great God who created all things out of
nothing, sought to reproduce his own image in the midst of his
creation, and then provided a way for that image to come to
maturity in the form of a glorious Church, the Bride of his Son,
and the possessor of the Kingdom of God.
In a day when all is changing, one thing never changes - the Word
of God.
With the Apostle Paul may we say..
“And
now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his
grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an
inheritance among all them which are sanctified” (Acts 20:32)
