Winter Solstice Working Bee June 24 - 25 Summer Solstice December 16 - 17 with energetic and community-minded fellow lovers of the land Twice a year we offer an ‘open’ weekend at Mana, for those who would like to visit for the first time and for old friends wanting a ‘refresher’. With no charge, or course, this is a relaxed time to enjoy, care for and improve a beautiful piece of land. We collect and stack firewood, create and maintain paths, waterblast, prune, weed and plant. All the many jobs that are most enjoyably done with a crew. We cook food together and celebrate the end of a great day’s work with an impromptu concert on Saturday night.
Arrive
Friday night or Saturday morning. Bring plenty of vegetarian food to share, (preferrably
prepared) garden and power tools and plants, garden gloves, hats, boots and wet
weather gear.
