How to Register these Products


This section describes the types of Software Licenses available and how you can get one. However, please remember that this Software is covered by a specific Software License Agreement and you should probably read that at some stage.

Shareware Distribution

These products are distributed as "Shareware". This means you get to try them out for a while before deciding whether to buy it or not. Otherwise, normal commercial practice applies. The Software is not 'free', and it is not 'Public Domain'. If you continue to use it beyond the 28 day evaluation period then must pay the Registration Fee, or stop using the Software and delete it from your hard disk.

I encourage you to give the Software to your friends or clients in order that they may try it out as well. However, you may not charge them for doing so (without my express and written permission), you may not give it to them in any form except that which I send to the on-line archives (without my express and written permission), and you may not give them your registration code.

In summary, I want you to use my Software, and I want you to pay me a reasonable fee for doing so.

Publication on Compact Disc

I encourage Shareware Distribution via Compact Disc. However, please email for permission first. I usually give permission provided that the only charges levied relate to the distribution media, or the bundled goods (e.g. a magazine), and that the recipient is well informed that the Software is Shareware and they are required to pay an additional charge if they wish to use it beyond the Evaluation Period.

Types of License Available

There are five types of License available:

  1. Single
    Licenses a single user to use the Software on any number of computers, or licenses any number of users to use the Software on a single computer, provided always that only one copy can be in use at any one time. You will receive a single registration code.
  2. Multi
    Identical to a Single User License except that special pricing applies for quantities of ten or more. You will receive a number of registration codes equal to the number of users licensed.
  3. Site
    Licenses any number of users within a single organisation, within a 160km radius of the nominated site to use the Software. You will receive a site registration code and an installer that will allow you to 'preinstall' the registration code prior to distribution to your users.
  4. World
    Licenses any number of users within a single organisation, anywhere on planet Earth to use the Software. You will receive a world registration code and an installer that will allow you to 'preinstall' the registration code prior to distribution to your users.
  5. Bundle
    Licenses a defined number of users to use the Software in conjunction with your product(s). Special conditions and pricing apply, please email me for more information.
