G'day G'day Folks,

One axiom of nlp is to focus on the solution space rather than the problem space. The solutions come out of what is working just fine thank you. Now it occurred to me that nested stories open loops as they say, and in doing so they open up possibilities, create transderivational searches for meaning, elicit resourceful states, provide "as if" experiences. Whew, that's quite a lot. And in the end those loops are closed with necessary and sufficient solutions. Now that had me wondering, are those stories memes for conveying the wisdom of ages, what some might call eternal truths that give sense of closure, meaning, understanding, that sort of thing.

Or is their value primarily in opening up new options.

Or do they meet *both* needs, opening up of possibility and a sense closure? A Zen like middle path of opening and closing.
