"The widespread public belief that high doses of vitamins are effective against colds and other illnesses is largely attributable to Linus Pauling, Ph.D., winner of the Nobel Prize for chemistry in 1954"
Long, long ago when NZ had separated from Gonwanaland but had yet to drift out into cyberspace, there lived a little lad whose name is familiar to me. When this little lad came down with chickenpox (Or was it measles? The diagnosis has been lost it time.) his mother who had read of Linus Pauling gave him a bottle of pink Vitamin C tablets to suck on. They had a pleasant citrus flavour and that little boy hugged the brown bottle and held it tightly in his hand. Even when he slept. Every few hours he sucked those tablets and in the evening the spots dried out and fell off by themselves. Except the ones in his hair. They had to be brushed and then they slid down the hairs and fell off.
Now that boy had children and they reached an age where they could have children. And the man thought about that experience and was thankful. For although he didn't know what happened he knew
"It's fantastic to have an imprint experience for miraculous happenings."
