G'day G'day Folks,

Ever wanted to lose arguments?

Not a lot of hands up for that one, I see.
Stubborn lot aren't you. Always wanting to win arguments.

What ever happened to creating options? Tch Tch.

Well now there's an alternative; losing arguments so no one can find them.

And it's called sleight of mouth. Sleight of mouth is the gentle art of using an argument's own strength to make it vanish.

Since you are about to energise those little grey cells you might want to know, "What's the biggest personal benefit of learning sleight of mouth?"

Well, for me it was learning to laugh at myself and have fun.

A simple healthy self-referenced reason, to be sure. For those of you who like to think big or are "referenced to others," imagine if everybody learnt not to take themselves quite so seriously.

So, here is how I learnt sleight of mouth and coincidentally how to laugh at my more pretentious beliefs. Be warned. Once my brain got hold of this stuff, it sort of generalised to the point where I found myself laughing at myself when I didn't quite intend to.

It could happen to you.

First I took a slightly contentious statement,

"Writing graffiti is against the law."

Then I considered all the ways I could use the statement to make fun of itself. There are no right answers, only a lot of funny ones.

So that's the challenge.

Take that statement "Writing graffiti is against the law" and use it to make fun of itself. Use it till you lose it.

Polish 'em and post 'em folks,

Email us some funny sleights of mouth
