I have a dozen brain cells

About ten to a hundred to be more precise.
It's hard to be more certain.

And there are a dozen or so new cars on the market this year.
Of course there are a lot of clones .... but who's counting.

It may come as a shock to the reductionists amongst us that we all get
by with about a dozen or so types of brain cell.

That's all there is. And ... all that ... isn't it.
If the human brain was simple enough for us understand we couldn't.

The complexity arises in the cloning and the myriad of possibilities
of interconnection that are then available.

Once I thought of naming my brain cells, Kim, Jack, George, that
sort of thing. Since there would be only a dozen names I could,
I suppose, add further descriptors eg George, son of George, son of
George ...

or George what is connected to Kim32178 and Zack5492.

In the end I decided that a complete descriptor for any one cell would
be a long as a description of every cell in the brain so I thought I'd
better take it for a walk and go buy some vegies instead.

Have a nice day.
