He looked upShe smiled

I could have said, "He looked up and she smiled." and that would have
made a pleasant sounding sentence.

Too long I think.

If I were to tell you that I spend a lot of time typing on the
computer, some of it work related and some of it nlp related. And if
you were also to know that Tricia would on occasions like us to do
other things when I am preoccupied typing away then you might imagine
all sorts of things including perhaps a few value judgements. In fact
the longer I discuss the situation the more room there is to fit in
preconceived thoughts and emotions all based of course on logic aka
argument. Whoops.

Explanation is way, way too long.
Perhaps there a better way.

Is there a language faster than logic?
A win-win way.

Here I am typing away on the computer.
Tricia comes in.
I look upShe smiles.

My looking up has been linked to (Tricia and a good feeling)
That smile is a small, immediate reinforcement of looking up.
I want to look up.

True I'm not standing up yet. I'm not heading towards the car and off
to do some shopping for those new trousers Tricia knows I need to buy
today. But hey, even though I don't know quite what is materialising
on my future time line I do know I am going to enjoy it more and
participate more fully when it started with a smile.

Oh, and in case you are wondering, She sat upHe massaged her shoulder,
happens in this house too.

Thankfully,
