Ken has contributed over 40 works to Learning Media publishers portfolio during the six years he has been associated with them as a writer. Some of these works are short stories where the narrative is centred around a mathematical learning experience. Comprehensive teachers' notes are written by Ken as well and these materials are used throughout New Zealand schools as well as in many countries abroad such as Chile, Brazil and Peru.

Short Stories

Ken has written 116 short stories which he performs when engaged as a storyteller. "Weekend Call Up" was the runner up entry in the 1991 Nadine Gordimer short story competition and "The Daffodils" was runner up in the "Ripping Good Read Short Story Competition" of 1997.

Some of these stories have been performed on radio and others, such as "Crossing the Ditch! The Exodus Affair" captured as digital voice recordings.
