The black harp, pictured at right, is a replica of an ancient Celtic harp. It is carved from old recycled English oak, and has a cedar soundboard. The peg head is reinforced with a brass strip and it is strung with bronze strings. This working instrument was commissioned by the Black Harp Irish bar in Wellington, where it is on permanent display.

This large loud harp has a solid European spruce soundboard. The headstock and body are made of cherry, with other woods such as walnut, mahogany and maple available. The headstock and pillar are laminated from two pieces for strength. The sound box is backed with stained plywood, containing four access holes for string changing. Tuning pegs are black with brass Robinsons sharpening levers on each string. This harp is 1500 mm tall and 650 mm deep. The base is 400 mm wide. The harp pictured is played by an Auckland musician.

This 22 string lap harp is made of Kauri (New Zealand timber) with a solid spruce sound board. It has nylon strings and a detachable stand.
