Siwa [Egypt, 1996] Siwa is the smallest and most remote of Egypt's oases, and has been linked to the outside world by a sealed road for only a few years. For now it remains a sleepy, traditional oasis of mud-brick houses and date palms, surrounded by the Sahara Desert.
