Arriving 1 Arrive at one of the International gates.
2 Descend to the ground floor and proceed to baggage claim.
3 Collect your baggage at the baggage claim. Proceed to the left, to customs.
4 Check into customs. You must declare any food and specified goods you are bringing into the country.
5 Welcome to Christchurch! In this area you will find car rental, retail stores and information.
Checking In 1 Enter the main departure entrance.
2 Check in your baggage at the right airline desk.
3 Proceed through to the departure lounge. You must present your boarding pass at the entrance.
4 Baggage Check. Your baggage will be scanned and checked if need-be, and you will pass through the normal metal detector, etc.
5 Departure Lounge. Here you will find places to eat, shops, duty free, and currency exchange. Toilets are off to the left before you enter.
6 When the call to board comes over, you can enter the appropriate gate, at the doors along the way.

The Airport has all types of retail stores, including many duty free shops, and a huge amount of prestigious brands in the International Atrium and the Cityside mall. There are cafes and bars along the way to make your travelling experience as enjoyable as possible.

Baggage storage is available, costing between NZ$5-8 per bag/per day, depending on the size of each bag.
