| Feedback
From time to time, I have received some great feedback relating to peoples' commitment to the recognition of same-sex relationships in New Zealand by way of marriage as opposed to civil unions, and about my website in general. I thought that these messages would be worthwhile recording here, so I have decided to add a new page to the site.. If you would like to make a contribution to make, and let others know why you believe that marriage is the way to go, please e-mail to LeGaLE@paradise.net.nz with your views
Hopefully, we will get some wonderful messages ... Thanks ... Nigel

Same-Sex Marriage Required Sunday,
14 March 2004 Dear Nigel I am pleased to find your website and am grateful for the guidance you are giving the gay and lesbian community. The following is about myself and partner, and our views. (we are both gay males) I am a superannuitant, 65 years of age and retired, with a partner who is not of retiring age and hence he is not entitled to be incorporated with my superannuation benefit. My own personal opinion is that I am against the Civil Union bill for two reasons;
Ideally, I would like to see the Civil Union bill postponed until after the next election and then for same-sex marriage, civil unions, and the omnibus bill to be promoted and included at the same time. My partner is of a different ethnicity than myself and would like to get married to me. Civil unions will not provide the answer to our desire. Kind regards ... |
