MVP₁: Most Valuable Player

MVP points will be awarded to players based upon their on-field performance.  After every match one defending and one attacking player will be selected by the team to receive MVP points, based on their contribution to the game.  Any other players who the team feels displayed excellent sportsmanship during the match will also receive MVP points.  The three people with the most MVP points at the end of the season will receive the MVP First, Second and Third award.

The following MVP points will be available:
+ 5 points: Outstanding contribution to a game.
+ 8 points: Outstanding sportsmanship during a game.

MVP₂: Most Vile Person

MVP points can also be negative (which we are calling MVP₂ points).  The three players with least MVP points (or the greatest negative points values) at the end of the season will receive the Most Vile Person award in first, second and third place.  Those honoured with this award have to shout 2 dozen beers between them for the end-of-season social.

The following acts will earn MVP₂ points:
-20 points: Failing to show at a practice or game without a valid reason.
-15 points: Being sent off, for valid reason, during a game.
-10 points: Any act of unsporting behaviour during a game or practice.
- 5 points: Every 5 minutes, or part thereof, that a player is late to a game or practice without a valid reason.
-5 points: Any other action sufficiently ridiculous as to warrant a penalty.
