How to be a Nice Guy #1 (September, 2000)
Someone actually said this to me once. I wasn't sure whether to feel flattered
or rejected. I guess it depends on the person. People have asked me what's up
with the last frame, because we find out the guy's name actually is Matt. This was
purely a subconscious thing when I drew it (after all, this is the character I've
called ‘Melvin’ elsewhere), but I decided to leave it in as a kind of
admission that
yes, I'm really like this, and these things happen to me. Far be it from me to mess
with my subconscious... This cartoon is in colour because Canta was feeling
particularly rich when I drew it (although they still haven't given me any
money...), so they decided to let me colour it. I'm in the process of colouring the
others, but it may take a while...
