Sydney is the largest city in Australia and is the capital of New South Wales. It has a population of 3,536,000 people this is about the population of all of New Zealand.

One of its main features is the Sydney Opera house which cost millions of dollars to build and has become the new symbol of Sydney it was built about 30 years ago. This is a picture of the Sydney Opera House.

Its other main feature is the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which was built in Newcastle in the U.K.

This year Sydney is hosting the Olympics and it will take 1000 workers to build the site. The stadium alone will cost 690 million dollars to build and will be the largest ever built for the Olympics. However only 44 % Australians are interested in coming to the Olympics.
