Basically self taught, after a year in Art College and another in photography, Mary's lifelong involvement with horses shows in her realistic lifelike portrayals.

In recent years she has specialised in harness racing.  Working from photographs, Mary's work is an accurate interpretation of the action, and her oil paintings are in private collections around the world.

Mary also exhibits on the railings at the Christchurch Arts Centre on Worcester Boulevard every fine weekend throughout the year.
