     Elizabeth Richardson was born on 11 May 1773 at Whitelaw, ROX, SCT.2 She was christened on 13 Jun 1773 at Maxton, ROX, SCT; entry reads: Betty Richardson daughter to Robert Richardson smith at Whitelaw and his wife Margt Runciman, was born 11 of May and baptised 13 Jun.2
     Elizabeth Richardson married William Wight, son of James Wight and Issobel Thomson, on 25 Jul 1795 Maxton, ROX, entry in Register of Proclamations & Marriages in the Parish of Maxton reads: Maxton July 25th 1795: "William Wight in this parish of Maxton and Elisabeth Richardson in the parish of Morebattle gave up their names for proclamation in order to marriage, they were thrice proclaimed and no objections offered. They were soon married after."3
     Elizabeth Richardson died on 15 Jun 1831 Maxton, ROX, at age 58.4,5 She was buried with William Wight at Maxton, ROX, SCT, beside son Walter, in front of son John at the left hand end of the Kirk. H/stone shows that Elizabeth d. 15 Jun 1831, aged 58.4,5
     Elizabeth Richardson was also known as Betty. In Jul 1795 Elizabeth Richardson was living in Morebattle, ROX, SCT, (when she married).3
