General:

Daughter of Martha and George Bailey - Fanny was married in 1902 "At the house of Mrs Alice Bailey, Wilson St, Hawera" so we assume Martha was known as "Alice". She is in the electoral rolls as "Alice" It also appears that George Bailey did not come to live in Hawera with Alice approx 1901 - circumstances unkown. The name "Alice" also appears in later generations with Charlie Bailey's daughter Alice, and Eva's daughter Christina Alice. Other Official documents have her as "Martha", such as Birth Cert of her daughter Fanny, the Death Cert, and her Marriage information from the Tasmanian Pioneer Index..
