The KELBRYN WELSH CORGIS live with the Lacey family in Hawke's Bay (Wine Country), on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island.

Our first Pembroke puppy was purchased in 1975, as a pet for our then young family, but my childhood dream of breeding dogs was eventually to be realised with the arrival of our first show bitch in 1978.

Pepper (FIRST LOVE OF GWYNRAE, CDX) is behind all bar three of the Kelbryn Pembroke Champions and we will be forever grateful for the dynasty she created, the love she gave us, and continues to give through her descendants, and the memories which will live forever.
About Us
Our corgis have never been extensively campaigned.  Initially family, and now work committments to a 6-day week job have precluded us from attending many shows but we still continue to hold our own in competition with the top kennels and I am always pleased to take the best dogs home with me - whether they won or lost!

The new millenium saw the first Kelbryn-bred puppies for some years make their debut in the show ring and I look forward to having more fun with them and their younger kennel mates in the years to come.

Unfortunately, very limited in the numbers we can keep, we occasionally have young adults looking for permanent homes and puppies for sale from our infrequent litters.

I am a member of many Welsh Corgi breed clubs throughout the world and am an active member of my 'local' club, The Central Welsh Corgi League in New Zealand, having held or still holding the positions of Handbook Editor, Newsletter Editor, Show Secretary, Treasurer, Librarian, Webmaster, Area Representative, Committee Member.  I was honoured to be presented with Life Membership of the League in 2000.  I am Vice-President of a local All Breeds club and serve as Editor of its Newsletter & Webmaster.

My better half, Brent, hates the shows, but is a really great 'kennel maintenance man' and dog-sitter when I manage a weekend away.

Please email if you want more information on the Corgi breeds (Pembroke & Cardigan) or to enquire about the availability of puppies.
