The Adnamelga prefix was registered with NZCF in 1980 and my first breeding queen Glemanda Cinderella was purchased from the Glemanda Cattery. I mainly bred the dilute colours cream, blue and bluecream before retaining a cream female from Cindy and there began my venture into the cream colour exclusively.

For many years, this was the only colour that I bred, and enjoyed a lot of success on the show bench with Adnamelga Miss Muppet being named Best Kitten for the year in 1990.

After introducing new lines into my cattery, I have dabbled in the
bi-colours as well.. In the past two years I have started to breed the exotics and find these very exciting and certainly a new challenge. My foundation queen Soremba I'm Too Trendy was imported from Australia and has enjoyed great success on the show bench in both NZ as a cat and in Australia as a kitten before coming here. She gained her NZCF championship in 2002 and also her Grand Championship with CATZ Incl in 2002 as well as being named Cat of the Year CATZ Inc 2002. In 2003 she gained NZCF Double Grand Championship. As well as gaining Supreme Grand Champion at the Royal Eater Show in Auckland with CATZ Inc this being no mean feat, as it require six Best In Show titles of which two must be All Breeds Best in Show.

I have retained two of her babies and these have also enjoyed success in the show ring recently. One being a black exotic whom was placed Best Longhair Kitten at the NZCF National Show in 2003 from 84 exhibits.

Please feel free to contact me if you require any information or are interested in purchasing a kitten. All pet kittens are desexed before leaving Adnamelga.
