Besbarmaq Dag [Azerbaijan, 2004] Besbarmaq Dag ("Five-finger Mountain"), towering 500m above the Caspian shore, was a holy place long before the Azeris converted to Islam.  Today holy men still perch at its summit, following an odd blend of Muslim and pagan beliefs.
