REGIONAL CASTLE LINKS

Larnach Castle is perhaps the only structure that can be described as a "Castle" within Australasia. Located in the City of Dunedin, New Zealand, it is unique:

It stands as a testimony to its illustrious (and tragic) builder, - Merchant Banker and Politician, William Larnach.

More a stately home than a defensive structure, its inclusion in these pages is a bit "suspect" in its integrity.

I will leave it to the readers to make up their own minds, but none the less it has a special place in the hearts of New Zealander's.

Whatever your conclusions, you will appreciate its charms!
