Rob Greenways Page - This site has some lovely pointers for players of all levels, check out the different types of ornamentation

Kiwicelt - Shardul is the New Zealand distributor of Martin Doyle flutes and a range of flutes made form New Zealand native timbers is available.

Hammy Hamilton's homepage - Another Maker, also makes cheap practice flutes

Desi Seery's Homepage - Quality Synthetic flutes. In my opinion the only lower priced flute worth getting. Great for playing outdoors when the wooden one throws a fit about the conditions!


Bands and Musicians
Mike Considine - A brillant Bouzouki player living In Christchurch - Check out our album Mountain Air.
Bob McNeill - Bouzouki player, former Marannan colleage and a great musician. His album, Covenant, won best folk album of 2002 in the New Zealand Music awards.
Grada - A great young Irish band based in Dublin with some hot talent from New Zealand involved.
Anton Davila - A great Gailthian Piper whom I met on the Isle of Mann at a festival. Watch out though the site is in spanish.

Bob Bickerton - Nelson based performer, teacher, and accordion surgeon (why Bob, why?). Does many programmes for primary school kids.

Danu - A Fantastic band from Wexford and Waterford. Tom Doorley is a masterful flute player and plays a Desi Seery synthetic flute. In the words of Desi Seery he's "Deadly!".

Dervish - The best Irish band of the last ten years. In my opinion much better than Altan.
Trad music
Trad Music.com - a comprehensive list of musicians and Cd's of tradtional music.

Ceolas is the one stop website for anything to do with Irish music

The Sessioner website this is a great site; tunes/tin whistle guide/directory of members, worth checking out

New Zealand Music. A list of Celtic music recorded in New Zealand also listings of New Zealand Folk Clubs etc.
