Prayer Requests As the months tick by and our plates become increasingly
fuller, Good Weather on the 15th! - Not surprisingly, the New Zealand climate has outdone itself in surprising us with how many seasons it can produce in a day. Please pray that at least for one day (the 15th, hopefully), we will be able to see the sun shine throughout the day. A Home - We are keeping an eye out for a house to live in (probably to rent) that is both affordable and large enough so that we would be able to hold small groups and youth group events at our place. We will need to live in West Auckland in order to provide transportation for many of the church members residing in that area. To add to the list, the place will also need to be open to pets as Diane will be taking her ferret with her (an amusing, but serious request)! ~We found a home that was willing to accomodate all the above requests, including not charging us for the time that we were away during our missions trip. In addition to this, the couple who own the place are also Christian, approximately our age and very accomodating - they seem like people we would be able to get along well with. There were a few other options that were open to us regarding a home, but once we found this place, we knew that a lot of our prayers had been answered. Chad is now happily moved in and Diane will join him on the 26th after Tahiti. 08.01.05 Missions Trip - A missions trip and a wedding are both large events by themselves. As we are preparing to do one after the other, please pray that we will not get burnt out and especially for our health as we travel with the missions team to Hong Kong, where we will be working with an affiliated church. We will also make a trip to China to visit a home for blind ladies and a leper colony. As you might know, there has been some Christian persecution in China in the past, so please also pray for the team's safety. ~We had a wonderful and meaningful time overseas. All four of us came away with different perspectives, but all positive. Despite all the things we have heard, none of us suffered any mishaps while away (bar very slight stomach problems) and all of us have returned with a new vigour for missions. 08.01.05 Thank you for taking the time to do this. Feel free to check in
as this site is constantly being updated.
